Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to create a portrait?

Once you have sent your photos, we will create a preview for you within 24 hours — and often the same day. It then takes 5–7 days to print, frame and deliver your order. All packages are sent via DPD tracked delivery so you can keep track of your parcel.
 

How big are the prints?

We offer two sizes, medium and large. Both are presented within a premium white mount approximately 6cm wide on each side. The dimensions of the two frame sizes are as follows:

 

Medium Frame — 297 × 420 mm (A3)
Large Frame — 420 × 594 mm (A2)
 

How do I send you my photos?

Once you have placed your order, we will send you our WhatsApp number which you can use to send us your photos. Alternatively, you can send them via email. A clear, well-lit photo facing the camera works best. Natural light is ideal — avoid flash, heavy shadows or blurry images. The clearer the photo, the more accurate and detailed your artwork will be.

 

Will I see a preview before it's printed? 

Yes. Once your artwork has been created, we’ll send you a digital preview via WhatsApp and email for approval before it is printed and framed. If you’re not happy with the initial design, we’ll work with you on revisions until it’s just right before printing.
 

How much is delivery?

UK delivery is free. All packages are sent via 48-hour tracked delivery and you will receive a tracking link once your order has been dispatched.

1. ABOUT US

This website is operated by The Ink Studio, trading as Ickle Prints. Throughout these Terms, "we", "us" and "our" refer to The Ink Studio. 2. PERSONALISED PRODUCTS

All products are personalised and made to order using customer-submitted photographs, text and information.

Because each product is created specifically for you:

  • slight variations in colour, cropping and print appearance may occur between screen previews and the finished product
  • previews are approximations only and may differ from the final printed item
  • you are responsible for ensuring uploaded images are of sufficient resolution and quality for printing

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order where submitted content is, in our reasonable opinion:

  • offensive
  • unlawful
  • defamatory
  • discriminatory
  • infringing on third-party rights

By uploading content, you confirm that you own the rights to that material or have obtained all necessary permissions. Where photographs include images of individuals, you confirm you have the right to submit those images for use in artwork creation.

3. ARTWORK CREATION

Ickle Prints uses a combination of professional digital tools, software and AI-assisted technologies as part of our artwork creation and editing process. This may include AI tools that generate artistic styles, enhance or reinterpret uploaded photographs.

By placing an order, you acknowledge that:

  • final artwork may differ from your original uploaded photographs in style, composition and interpretation
  • AI-assisted processing may stylise or reinterpret submitted images
  • the final result is produced at our discretion based on your selected style and submitted materials

If you have specific requirements regarding the use of AI tools, please contact us before placing your order.

4. ARTWORK APPROVAL

Where a preview or proof is provided, you are responsible for carefully reviewing:

  • all spelling, names and dates
  • image selection and placement
  • artwork layout and overall appearance

Approval of a proof constitutes acceptance of the artwork exactly as shown.

Once approved, changes cannot be guaranteed and may incur additional charges.

If you do not respond to a proof request within 7 calendar days, we reserve the right to proceed with production based on the most recent version.

5. RETURNS, REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS

As all products are personalised and made to order, they are exempt from the standard 14-day right of return under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

All sales are final once artwork has been approved.

We will offer a remedy — repair, replacement or refund at our discretion — only where:

  • the item arrives damaged in transit
  • the wrong item has been supplied
  • there is a verified manufacturing defect

To report a damaged or faulty item, contact us within 7 calendar days of delivery with:

  • clear photographs of the issue
  • photographs of the packaging
  • your order details

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

6. ORDER CANCELLATION BY US

We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order.

If cancelled before production begins, a full refund will be issued.

If production has commenced, we may retain a reasonable amount to cover costs already incurred.

We also reserve the right to correct pricing errors. If an order is placed at an incorrect price, we will contact you to confirm whether you wish to proceed at the corrected price.

7. PRICING & PAYMENT

Payment must be made in full before production begins.

We reserve the right to:

  • amend pricing at any time
  • limit quantities available
  • withdraw products without notice

Discount codes and vouchers:

  • are subject to individual promotional terms

All artwork, branding and creative work produced by The Ink Studio trading as Ickle Prints remain our intellectual property unless otherwise agreed in writing.

No content may be copied, reproduced, modified or commercially used without our prior written permission.

Unless you notify us in writing at the time of ordering, we reserve the right to use completed artwork and anonymised customer images for:

  • marketing
  • social media
  • advertising
  • portfolio purposes

Where artwork features identifiable individuals, we will always anonymise or obtain consent before any public use.

10. FORCE MAJEURE

We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:

  • acts of God
  • fire or flood
  • pandemics
  • government restrictions
  • industrial disputes
  • supplier failure
  • internet or technical outages

Where possible, we will notify affected customers and work to resume normal service as quickly as reasonably practicable.

11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

  • indirect or consequential losses arising from use of our products or website
  • delivery delays caused by circumstances outside our control
  • minor colour differences between screen previews and printed products
  • quality issues arising from low-resolution or unsuitable uploaded images

Our total liability relating to any order shall not exceed the amount paid for that order.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by negligence
  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
  • any liability that cannot legally be excluded under English law

Returns & Refund Policy

 

Personalised & Made to Order Products

All Ickle Prints products are personalised and made to order using customer-submitted photographs and information. As a result, they are exempt from the standard 14-day right of return under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

This means we are unable to accept returns or offer refunds simply because you have changed your mind.

 

Damaged, Faulty or Incorrect Items

We take great care in producing and packaging every order. However, if your item arrives damaged, faulty or incorrect, we will put it right.

To be eligible for a replacement or refund, you must contact us within 7 calendar days of delivery at info@ickleprints.com with:

  • clear photographs of the damaged or faulty item
  • photographs of the outer packaging
  • your order number and details of the issue

We will review your claim and offer one of the following at our discretion:

Artwork Approval
